I work with printmaking, mainly woodcut in relation to sculpture and installation.

I am inspired by nature and interested in the relationship between nature, culture and place. How the memories of places affect us and the contradiction in living with nature while at the same time nature being unknown and beyond our control. I use elements which resembles branches, roots, flowing water or tree trunks, somewhere in between abstract and figurative.

My work process is expressive and intuitive, and I experiment with different types of materials such as plywood, rice paper and fabric. I use both the prints and the plywood to cut out pieces to compose collages or installations, playing with scale and form. Pieces that can be moved around like building blocks and create scenes and stories that the viewer can move in and around.

I like the idea that the parts can be reused in new installations and form new stories in relation to each other and in relation to place and context.
